As we reflect during this season of gratitude, I know we are all so thankful for Riverside and the wonderful education our students are receiving there. I hope that you will join me for Giving Tuesday by making a donation to the Pirate’s Chest to support the Riverside PTA’s efforts. This is an excellent way to give your dollars locally and make a direct impact on our school community! The PTA’s goal is to raise $10,000 to support our school. We need your individual donations (and any available matching corporate donations) to get there.
Why give to the Riverside PTA? I am giving for many reasons, including:
Schoolwide Impact. The Riverside PTA provides support for the entire school!
Teacher Appreciation. In a year where teachers are leaving schools and the profession at an alarming rate, it is more important than ever to make sure Riverside’s teachers and staff feel the love. The PTA hosts many school-wide teacher appreciation efforts, including a welcome breakfast, curriculum night dinner, and holiday treats..
Classroom Grants. The Riverside PTA supports classrooms and teachers by providing grants for special items that cannot be obtained from the district. This extra support helps ensure that our students have what they need to learn.
Student Programming. The Riverside PTA plans events to support our students, including college information sessions and seminars on critical issues facing teens, such as dating violence and mental health.
Donations of all amounts are greatly appreciated.
